If you could be doing anything else with your life, what would it be?
If you're like me and most other people, your answer wouldn't be "floral designer." But why do we do the things we do? For me, there's one thing that affects my decision more than anything else: I LOVE WHAT I DO.
I love having an impact on other people's days—making them smile when they're feeling down or looking for something special for an occasion.
I love that flowers bring people together—whether it's between two friends who want to surprise each other with flowers for their birthdays, or between two people in love who want to celebrate their anniversary with a bouquet of roses (and maybe some chocolate too!).
And finally…I love being able to make someone else's day by giving them something beautiful!
I'm not saying that if you love what you do, everything else will fall into place. It's not a magic formula for happiness and success. I'm just saying that when we find something that makes us happy, it becomes easier to stay motivated to keep going even when things get tough—and things always get tough.
I think that’s why I love being a florist so much. It's the perfect combination of creativity, problem solving, and customer service. There's always something new to try out and learn about, but there are also plenty of repeat customers who come back year after year because they trust me to make them happy! And on top of all that, it just feels good to be able to brighten someone else's day by giving them something beautiful.
